Metaview is an AI-powered recruiting platform that joins interview calls (video and phone) and automatically generates structured interview notes, scorecards, reports, job descriptions and candidate-search outputs. Founded in 2018 and based in London, it is used by recruiting and hiring teams at thousands of companies including Brex, Deel, HelloFresh and Quora, positioning itself as a vertical AI tool for AI-first hiring workflows. The company raised a $35M Series B led by GV (Google Ventures) in 2026, with continued backing from Plural, Vertex Ventures, Seedcamp and Coelius Capital, bringing total funding to around $50M. Metaview reports more than 3,000 customers and millions of captured conversations, and remains a focused mid-sized company rather than a large enterprise vendor. Because recruiting AI processes candidate PII and can fall under the EU AI Act's high-risk category, Metaview's data posture matters. The platform hosts all data on an AWS UK environment, is SOC 2 Type II certified, supports GDPR, CCPA, LGPD and PIPEDA compliance, and provides a Data Processing Agreement. It explicitly states that it uses pre-trained third-party LLMs and does not train underlying models on customer personal data, with candidate consent handling, on-demand deletion and a configurable default retention period of two years. From a sovereignty perspective, UK incorporation and UK (AWS) hosting give Metaview a solid, GDPR-aligned footing for UK and EU customers, and its no-training stance plus SOC 2 Type II are strong. The notable gaps are the absence of a published ISO 27001 certification and reliance on AWS UK rather than an EU-region datacentre, which EU-only buyers should evaluate against their residency requirements.
