Parloa is an enterprise-grade AI Agent Management Platform (AMP) that automates customer service interactions across voice and chat channels. Founded in 2018 in Berlin by Malte Kosub and Stefan Ostwald, the company builds conversational AI agents designed for high-volume contact centres, combining speech recognition, natural language understanding and large language models with enterprise controls such as PII redaction, role-based access and audit-ready logging. The company has scaled rapidly: it raised a $350M Series D in January 2026 at a roughly $3B valuation (led by General Catalyst, with EQT Ventures, Altimeter, Durable Capital and Mosaic Ventures), bringing total funding to more than $560M. Parloa reports over $50M in ARR and around 380 employees across Berlin, Munich and New York, serving large regulated enterprises including Allianz, Booking.com, SAP and Swiss Life. From a sovereignty standpoint, Parloa is a German-incorporated company (Parloa GmbH) running on Microsoft Azure with regional hosting options across Europe, North America and APAC, allowing customers to align data residency with local requirements. Its Trust Center publishes ISO/IEC 27001:2022, SOC 2 Type I and Type II, PCI DSS and HIPAA attestations, and states alignment with GDPR, DORA and the EU AI Act, with underlying Azure infrastructure carrying BSI C5:2020. This combination of EU incorporation, regional EU data residency and a broad certification set makes Parloa well suited to regulated EU sectors such as financial services and insurance. The main caveat is that hosting runs on a US-headquartered cloud provider (Microsoft Azure), so customers requiring fully sovereign, non-US-controlled infrastructure should confirm regional and contractual safeguards.
